Nike Dunk SB FLOM hits stores…well, kind of.

For many sneakerheads out there the release of a new Nike Dunk SB is like Christmas morning. A chance to stand outside an exclusive sneaker store in maybe New York, Los Angeles, or Tokyo for the slim chance you may get your hands on the latest dope new Nike Dunk SB release. Of course, your chances of getting your hands on these new kicks is probably limited further by the score of resellers attending the new release of this shoe only to sell it on ebay or privately for only about 10 times the price sold in stores!

Where nike dunk sb has truly differentiated itself is in its ability to create a frenzy over nearly anything it releases. Air Force one, Jordan, bape, Nike air max the same cannot always be said about a new release of kicks.

So, when Nike announced it would release new Nike Dunk SB FLOM “for love or money” editions. Perhaps, sneakerheads might have gone into more of a frenzy had it not been for the simple fact…Nike in all its wisdom only released a rumoured 24 pairs of these exclusive kicks!

Well, that pretty much crushed any potential dunk lover’s dream (myself included) of ever coppin’ these new kicks without holding 9 Gs American to buy them from one of the lucky and soon to be rich owners of one of the 24 pairs.

Additionally, only 3 pairs of these sneakers went to public raffle in Hong Kong…Well that leaves your chances of getting your hands on this shoe about as likely as winning the lottery 3 times this week after buying 3 tickets only! Likin’ those odds? Well, neither was I! But I was determined to get my hands on them…

Recently, I was browsing the internet for information on these sneakers and mainly just finding the same article announcing their existence regurgitated about 500 times on a series of uninteresting internet blogs. However, upon spending way too much time online I did find one retail site alleging to hold in their hand, the reputed Nike Dunk SB FLOM editions “for love or money” upon looking at these shoes I did know they were variants, but still, I didn’t care the chances of me getting $9000 US to get a real one was about as likely as a pair falling from the sky and into my window in the Bronx. Undoubtedly, I contacted the owner of this website SBKICKS, which I believe is located in China or Hong Kong where the raffle for the 3 reputed authentic FLOMS took place, they were quick to explain to me that the shoes had recently been released on SBKICKS exclusively and a mere 200 pairs were in circulation, so even for variants these shoes were limited!!! Having a price tag of 199.99$ which was much easier on my pocket as a young guy, I copped these shoes and received them no less than 7 days later direct from overseas, the quality is fantastic, and its fun to watch peoples’ reaction in my neighbourhood seeing these kicks, definitely turns some heads…
